Sluggish Saturday

It was last Friday evening when I was walking home from work, some absurd thoughts flash through my mind just then when I was waiting for the pedestrain lights to turn green so I could cross the road. I was thinking why do people look forward to weekend when we know that Monday is simply around the corner. Hmm. Excuse me for my Monday Wednesday Blues for sharing this. Having said that, I guess a 2 day break after 5 days of "hardcore" working is better than nothing at all, at least we get to rest up and revitalize our body and mind to welcome (hehe, usually in denial) the beginning of a new week.

I was being futile last weekend. Spent the whole Saturday loafing around despite I woke up at freaking 8.30 am! As much as I wanted to get more beauty sleep my body wouldn't compromise, subsequently followed by a growling stomach at 9 am, I got to compel myself to get up from bed and made myself a big bowl of cereal. The ordinary cornflakes mixed with Frosties and 2 packets of baby Oreo is my favourite breakfast for weekend. Scrumptious!

After assuaging my tummy, I continued to lie in bed and indulge in my collection of TVB dramas all over again. Generally, I enjoy rewatching series that I like and don't get bored too! I watched Forensic Heroes 3 again and still got all delirious when the scenes became intense. The next moment I checked the time it was already 3pm, time slips away just in a blink of an eye -__- No wonder my tummy was starting to make weird noises again, so I made myself a bowl of Korean Noodles, fast and easy, only unhealthy!

After eating I proceeded with dinner preparation. As I've defrost my chicken thigh earlier, I was excited of boiling myself a big pot of herbal chicken soup simply because I need to nourish my body with nutrients and supplements to combat a possible deterioration in health condition due to consumption of processed food- The Packet of Instant Korean Noodles.  After adding in all the ingredients into the pot and have the soup simmered for an hour, I decided to give it a taste. To my horror, the pot of soup reeked and had a rotten taste, I'll have to throw it away in lieu of getting food poisoning later! Disappointed much as my money burned off just like that, the herbs weren't cheap either :( In the end, I rummaged the refrigerator for vegetables and cooked myself a bowl of Vegetarian black pepper vermicelli instead. To comfort myself, at least my body still absorbed fibre for better digestion. Later it was just spending more time with my laptop.

That pretty much summarizes my Saturday for last weekend. It should be more fruitful the coming Saturday as I will not be staying home. Hehe.

Till Then.
